Contemporary Dance and Fitness Studio
Ballet 3: Saturday, 9:30-11:00 am and Tuesday 3:30pm-4:30 with Willow Wonder for Conditioning
Classical ballet class based on the Vaganova style for students age 10-14 who have a minimum of 3 years ballet experience. With a focus on clean technique and building our ballet foundation, students are expected to show a level of maturity and personal responsibility.
Ballet 4: Thursday, 3:30pm-5:00pm and Saturday, 1:30pm-3:00pm
Classical ballet class based on the Vaganova style. An increased focus on quality of movement, center practice, and pirouettes.
Ballet 5: Tuesday, 4:30pm-6:30pm and Saturday, 11:15am-12:30pm
Classical ballet class based on the Vaganova style. An increased focus on artistry, allegro, and variations.
Pointe Prep and Maintenance: Tuesday, 6:45pm-7:30pm
Year long course following the Perfect Pointe program by Lisa Howell. Designed to prepare dancers to go en pointe as well as maintaining strength and flexibility once already en pointe. Required for all Pointe 1 and Pointe 1A students.
Pointe 1: Tuesday, 7:30pm-8:00pm and Saturday, 3:00pm-3:15pm
Dancers will be slowly and thoughtfully introduced to the work of dancing en pointe. The first semester will consist of exercises done only at the Barre in order to gain strength and achieve balance and dexterity in the pointe shoes. The second semester we will begin center work. Dancers are expected to take an additional 2 ballet classes per week. By recommendation only. PPM required.
Pointe 1A: Tuesday, 7:30pm-8:00 pm and Saturday, 3:00pm-3:30pm
In their second year of pointe, dancers will begin to increase their center work while also adding exercises to their barre. Dancers are also required to enroll in Ballet 4 and will complete 1 day of Ballet 4 barre exercises in their pointe shoes to work on the articulation and placement of the ankle and feet while wearing pointe shoes. By recommendation only. PPM required.
Pointe 2: Thursday, 5:15pm-6:15pm and Saturday, 12:15pm-12:30pm
Advanced barre work and increased center work is the focus of the Pointe 2 class. Dancers are also required to enroll in Ballet 5 and will complete 1 day of Ballet 5 barre exercises in their pointe shoes to increase strength. By recommendation only.
Pointe 3: Thursday, 6:15-7:30pm and Saturday, 12:15pm-12:30pm
Pointe 3 will focus on artistry, choreography, and advanced center work. Dancers are also required to enroll in Ballet 5 and will complete 1 day of Ballet 5 barre exercises in their pointe shoes to increase strength. By recommendation only.
Contemporary Ballet: Wednesday, 6:00pm-7:30pm
Contemporary Ballet is a class for Intermediate/Advanced dancers who are interested in exploring and pushing the boundaries of ballet. Choreography will combine the lines and positions of ballet with the release and floor work of modern dance.
Open Level Ballet: Friday, 3:30-4:30 pm co-taught by Nora Chase-Tatko
Classical Ballet class designed for the Beginner to Intermediate level dancer.
Jazz 4: Wednesday, 7:15-8:15 pm
Classic Jazz class that takes inspiration from the Matt Mattox Freestyle Jazz Technique.
