Audition Announcement
I am very honored to have been selected by the Old StoneHouse Museum as 1 of 4 artists to celebrate the life and legacy of Alexander Twilight. My culminating project will include a dance video as well as a live performance piece to take place in August of 2022.
I am looking for 4-6 Contemporary dancers with a strong ballet foundation. Diversity and inclusion celebrated. Dancers must be 17+.
Weekly rehearsals will begin in March and run through July. Rehearsal times and locations will be decided based on availability. There is the expectation that dancers will do their best to make all rehearsals they are scheduled to be at. If a rehearsal must be missed, advance notice is required. Dancers will be asked to meet no more than 1 time per week during the initial rehearsal process.
In addition to weekly rehearsals, we will have two onsite visit days early on in the process to become familiar with the setting and historical context of the piece. Dancers must attend at least one of the onsite visits.
In the week leading up to the show, there will be 1 full day onsite rehearsal, with an option to stay overnight. That day will include a technical rehearsal, dress rehearsal, and filming.
Covid19 Precautions:
All dancers must be fully vaccinated, with a booster shot, and comfortable with wearing a mask for indoor rehearsals. When weather permits, outdoor rehearsals will be mixed with indoor rehearsals. Choreography may include contact and partnering.
